  40. ExtraDOS Toolbox is a compilation of tools useful to Microsoft DOS
  41. users.  I originally wrote the first version of ExtraDOS under MS-DOS
  42. because I found a need for them and there were no commercially
  43. available products that provided these functions.  Some ExtraDOS tools
  44. were designed to enhance programs already found in MS-DOS.  Other
  45. tools were familiar to the Unix world, but were not available in
  46. MS-DOS.  Over the years this collection has grown into large group of
  47. very useful tools.  Some of these utilities are duplicates of those
  48. found elsewhere, but often provide much better features or reduced
  49. memory overhead than similar utilities found elsewhere.  In addition,
  50. ExtraDOS complements PC-Tools and Norton Utilities with added tools
  51. these programs do not provide.

  53. Over thirty of the ExtraDOS Toolbox utilities have been selected by
  54. Paul Somerson, former Executive Editor of PC Magazine, for Bantam
  55. Books', DOS Power Tools, 2nd Edition, Revised and Expanded for DOS
  56. 5.0.  Many of the ExtraDOS Toolbox utilities are now appearing in many
  57. popular DOS books that feature shareware enhancements for DOS.

  101.   Upon notification of defects in material or workmanship,
  102.   within the warranty period of 45 days from the date of purchase,
  103.   Foley Hi-Tech Systems will, at its option, replace the defective
  104.   diskette or refund the license fee. If you need to return a product,
  105.   call the Foley Hi-Tech Systems Technical Support Service Department
  106.   to obtain a return authorization number. The remedy for breach of
  107.   this warranty shall be limited to replacement or refund and shall
  108.   not encompass any other damages, including but not limited to loss
  109.   of profit, and special, incidental, consequential, or other similar
  110.   claims.

  141. DESCRIPTION
  142.  
  143.   Delay is a utility that can be used to replace the PAUSE command
  144.   within a batch file.  Pause will never continue until a key is
  145.   pressed, whereas with delay you can set the amount of seconds to
  146.   pause, and then continue or continue immediately by pressing a key.
  147.   DELAY can also be used in your CONFIG.SYS to delay or pause between
  148.   the loading of device drivers which is extremely helpful when trying
  149.   to solve a conflict in CONFIG.SYS.

  172.   Pressing [CTRL]C will also cause a break in a batch file that can be
  173.   monitored with the error level returned by DELAY.  This is useful if
  174.   you are trying to break out of stream of commands from within a
  175.   large batch file.  DELAY can be used in CONFIG.SYS as well as from
  176.   within BATCH files, this is rather helpful when you are trying to
  177.   delay the execution of device drivers in order to see what is going
  178.   by on the screen.  Specifying no time on the delay batch line acts
  179.   the same as PAUSE.

  181.   This new version combines previous versions of DELAY.EXE and
  182.   PAUSE.SYS into one program.

  190.   solved easily by checking through the manual before calling tech
  191.   support. We ask that you browse the manual and look for information
  192.   pertaining to your particular problem before calling. This can often
  193.   save you time, as we take a collection of our most common questions
  194.   and try to address them in this manual.

  196.   We offer alternative methods besides the conventional phone
  197.   support, such as a multi-line 24-hour BBS system. We also monitor
  198.   most technical conferences in the BBS Interlink and RelayNet
  199.   networks as well as many conferences on the CompuServe
  200.   Information System. You may send messages and questions via any of
  201.   these services.

  204.   from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time. There is a chance,

  226.   grown tools that I just could not stand to live without.  Many times
  227.   someone would see me using them and ask for a copy.  This was a big
  228.   mistake.  All of the sudden I had to debug my code.  Someone would
  229.   call me up and remind me of some problem with a utility that I had
  230.   written or asked me to just add this one little feature.  Six years
  231.   later the package has evolved to its current state.  Along the way I
  232.   have had the help of many people in testing and ideas for products.
